Christine has over 10 years experience as a HR manager. She has worked with an international NGO ‘Plan International.’ She has worked for Nathan Digital and worked hand in hand with young innovative people, plus other consultancy organizations like AH Consultancy. She has hired people with knowledge of sustainability, urban planning and community engagement. She can recruit passionate volunteers and community youth.Train them in basic environmental practices. Offer incentives (certificates, stipends, recognition). Build a team that leads small but scalable change

Nicole Murugi- Founder, Nawiri Greener/ Social Communication Practitioner (Final- Year Student)

The founder of Nawiri Greener is a dedicated single mother and she brings both resilience and a deep personal commitment to building a more sustainable future. Balancing family life and climate action has shaped her leadership approach and grounded her vision in real-world impact. Her passion for environmental justice and sustainable development in informal settlements is to see people live better especially the vulnerable. Nicole Murugi leads community engagement, environmental education, and awareness campaigns that empower youth and residents to co-create greener, healthier neighborhoods.

Violet Mitchell – Environmental Advocate | Religious Sister | Social Communication Student

Sister Violet is a third-year university student and a member of a religious order deeply committed to caring for creation. Her advocacy for environmental justice is rooted in both her faith and her academic training in communication. As part of Nawiri Greener, she uses her voice to inspire action and community awareness around ecological responsibility.

Kate Wambui – Field Support Volunteer | Education Student

A passionate Education student, Kate volunteers with Nawiri Greener to support environmental awareness through media. She assists in capturing on-site videos and supports educational outreach by contributing to the team’s community learning materials.
